Yes, the new novel is almost here! I've finished all the formatting and editing and posted it to my publishing sites. Now I just have to wait for them to process it for public consumption before I start torturing everyone out there with endless emails and social media posts! :-)
For those of you whe care (or at least pretend to cuz ya love me!) the title of the novel is "Where Dead Fish Go". Now, admittedly, that may not be the most consumer/marketing friendly title ever but the oddness of it fits the book. It's pulled directly from a line in the novel itself . . . for some reason I do that a lot. Particular statements in my work jump out at me and become the ttle of the piece. No idea why, it's just a thing. I'm excited and will keep everyone posted (even when you don't want me to!)
Other than that, it's been a rational week for a change. Finished up my annual Medic recertifications last week for myself and my platoon. Always have a great time doing that! It means working with SimMen - life sized casualties who talk, bleed, puke, breathe . . . you name it. We have to treat them in simulated battlefield environments. It's a great day for us Medic types!
On the work front, I'm winding down a major project that's been ny primary life focus for the last three months. Client seems happy and the boss is too so I'm gonna call that a win. The wife hasn't killed me yet (though I know she dreams of it!) so I'll call that a win as well. Despite my boundless ability to annoy the crap out of her, she still takes care of me. As I write, she's cooking me up a killer tuna and noodle casserole. Yum! My brain says fat ass doesn't need it, but my taste buds disagree!
Seems like food is ready, so I'm bouncing! Enjoy the weekend, all!
